My office has really great natural light so it's much easier to get him when he's here :my_shy:

He's a playing/purring machine!

I wouldn't get a bit of work done with that little critter around...I'd have to spend my time petting, cuddling, playing with and skritching little critter...

@catlady There's only my husband, our one instructor, and me.  He gets passed between my office and my husbands.  He walks all over the desks and gets held while I one handed type.  He's pretty quiet and is happy to occupy himself as long as he knows I'm in here with him.  Little Hooman starts school in  about 2 weeks so she's on kitten duty till then.  He's only been back here the last couple of days cause she was off doing teenagery things.

@feministxtian as you wish :my_shy:  He's fussing at me for putting him back in his little cubby hole whilst I type

That tongue!!!!!!

You are lucky that I don't know where you live because THOR is in DANGER of being catnapped! Not only is he bright-eyed and will soon be bushy tailed, but he's got the BEST NAME.

That, then I would feel bad because I wasn't petting and playing with the other cat (I believe she has an adult cat) so then I would go and play with that one so he didn't feel left out.

OMG, you HAVE to keep posting pics, with or without tongue.  How much milk is he drinking at a shot, and has he learned to lap from a saucer, and do you still need to make Kitten Burrito for feeding?

GO, go, gooooooooo, Baby Thor! Get big and strong and mighty and scare the hell out of the Senior Cats!

We had a tongue kitty--pics available on request.  Gargoyle (the name got really short-listed--imagine a mostly Exotic Shorthair from the pound with a way-pushed-back flatface, and his tongue sticking out) was a complete darling, especially when he'd curl up on our chests while asleep.

****AHHHHH!  It's a Oriental Cat Demon, trying to suck out my soul!!!****

My two dingalings have figured out that they BOTH can get petted at the same time if they sit on either side of me. Right now, one is staring at the wall (could be a bug) and the other one is watching the staring.

they don't freak us out anymore. We're used to their oddness. I left the bedroom door open and He Who Thinks He is a Mighty Hunter hunted my stuffed critters right out into the living room. Sister looks at him as if he's lost his damn mind then plays with a pony tail holder. They're cheap entertainment!

The Mighty Hunter was trying to kill (or eat) a paper bag earlier. His sister drank some of my coffee. If the level in the cup is too low for her, she does the paw-dip. Kitty on caffiene is interesting.

I thought cats couldn't taste sweet...so why do my demons LOVE sweet things? I've had to fight for my cheesecake, my soda, my coffee.

Our old man, Texi, as a kitten systematically stole every single hair tie my ex & I owned. We both had long hair at one point & I found 15 of them under the washer in our apartment kitchen. Princess, the diva, steals nothing. She's FAR too important & regal to be amused by... wait was that a catnip mouse, brb.

Thor is still wanting to suck at the milk but he's getting the idea. I use a Glad ware lid because it has a depression in the middle and a raised edge so he kind of suck/licks the milk off the edge. He's currently napping, as soon as he's up & about, Little Hooman will be on kitten picture patrol. :my_shy:

Some "tongue action" from my 15 year old. He sat like that for over 10 minutes (and does so quite frequently) and my husband started freaking out. "Call the vet!! He's having a stroke or something!"

It was pretty hilarious.

Likely to honour Isla. So far Jill seems to grieve her publicly, much like Lauren did with her first loss.

I think she may be doing a pregnancy announcement, just from some of the posing, but either way I think the bear is to honor and include Isla. She posts a lot about her. I kinda think that may be why she was less involved with Jana’s wedding, rather than some deeper sibling issue. It was pretty soon after her loss, she was clearly deeply grieving, Jana may have just not wanted to ask her to do a bunch of stuff during that time. I doubt they are super close, but they seem to get along well enough.

It's funny because as a mom of two young kids (6 & 3) I am very much a "time and place" person when it comes kids in public spaces. I think that 100% yes kids have a right to be in public places, and kids in restaurants and planes and places are just a part of life. BUT, I do think there is such a thing as using common sense and I feel like wayyyy too many parents these days feel entitled to bring their kids to places that while it's within their right to do so, it's probably not appropriate.

I do admit though that I am probably slightly biased on the subject because as a wedding & family photographer I see it alllll the time. I'm team no kids at weddings, which is always a hot topic. And for me it really boils down to the fact that weddings are formal events and *most* of the time the kids are a big disruption. And it's not that they're being bad, *they're just being kids*. Unfortunately too many parents just either a) don't pay attention or keep their kids in check, or b) are watching their kids and find nothing wrong with their behavior.

We are relatively strict parents when it comes to behavior, dare I say "old school". We take our kids out to restaurants A LOT, we fly with them regularly, etc. No kids are perfect, and no matter how strict you are every kid has their moments, tantrums, etc. IMO the difference is in how you handle it and doing so in a way that it doesn't disrupt other people. That might not be a popular opinion, but I absolutely feel that while it's my right to take my kids out to dinner, it's also the right of the other patrons to not listen to my kids yell and scream and be annoying.

I really think it depends where you live as to what attitudes people have towards kids. I always felt really insecure about having my kids in public in Southern Ontario (where mega families were common) because people were unbelievably judgy about how they behaved and my parenting in general.

Then we moved to downtown Montreal, where having more than 1 kid was considered a big family, and everyone is just so kind and supportive and encouraging. No one batted an eye at them. I swear that’s why we moved here.

I feel like they're just regular old Fall family portraits...it's that time of year! All my clients are getting on the books for their Christmas card photos now too. At first I thought maybe an announcement based on the bear with pink ribbon, but I actually think it's more possible that is just to honor the loss they had. I can't imagine they'd give that much away prior to a big announcement. I could be wrong though.

My bet is it's all for show so they're not changing anything.  After all, these people side hugged their own kids.
