He's a CAT!

Imrlgoddess

This little muffin isn't a jelly bean anymore!  He's a kibble crunching, toy killing, toe attacking, fluff machine!  Little Hooman bathed him yesterday, she said he did great, basically purred the  whole time and didn't try to evacuate when she grabbed the stinky Princess and put her in the bathtub afterward.  He eats, he plays, he crashes.  He eats, he plays, he crashes.  Heeatsheplayshecrashes.  No ankle is safe anymore.

Pictures are hard to come by due to excessive running, jumping, and biting....so one serene pic and the latest Thor video!

Awww look at him, he is getting so big and catlike.

Im glad he was good when you bathed him. When I bathed my kittens, Amber ran straight up my arm the second her paw touched the water, and then clung onto my head with her claws.

What a little cutie!  And I love how the big kitty is just too dignified to participate.

@ILoveJellybeans the last two small kitties we had tried to demolish anyone who dared plunge them into the wet stuff. One house Little Hooman & I lived in had the sliding door on the bathtub. She'd put the bathing suit on, grab the cat and shut she & the kitty in there. There was a bath one way or the other! :my_biggrin:

@catlady Big TeX rules these here parts. He'll lay down & spat with the baby, but don't make him get up! He's the grouchy old man/ peace keeper.

@Palimpsest I'm so grateful he is healthy. Every time I walk out to feed the dogs I give the babies a pause or a hello. It's been a rough year & he's been a wonderful little bright black spot.

He's so soft!  His fur has thickened up and he's got this soft plush fuzz all over his little body, not too long, not too short.

his little tail is starting to look better. He looks so soft and cuddly...but I can also see he's a little terror. Do your hands look like hamburger yet?

@feministxtian He's definitely got the rawr kitty thing down pat!  He chases the older cats when they don't want to play with him and climbs us when we aren't paying attention.  We all have some battle scars :my_biggrin:  The truly funny thing is when you see a 12 lb mouser run full throttle from the room because hissing at him didn't deter the "swat swat swat".  They run, he kitten gallops behind them.  He's maybe 2 lbs now?  I need to get a picture of Texi holding his head down.  The baby bows up to him, so the response is either bat the crap out of him or simply put a giant paw on his head and smoosh him into the carpet.  It's utterly hilarious.  But man when he's sweet....he's sweet.  He's all purrs and kitten pats.

My dynamic duo were/are the same way They are still attention hogs. They will studiously ignore us until we find something else to do besides watching TV. I'm about to go study...there will be at least one cat on the table next to me, occasionally swatting my hand as I use the mouse.

When they were babies, my hands and arms looked like hamburger. They spent most of their time laying on me, playing with me, etc. They'd climb up on me when I came home from work. Now they don't climb up but they will tell me about their day when I get home. Luke bitches that Leia hid from him (behind the TV) and Leia will bitch that Luke wouldn't leave her alone.

I love all these Thor updates! I've never had a kitten, but I'm on my second hard-sell adopted cat. The first was old and sick, and not expected to live a year (she lived 6 wonderful years and I still miss her - she died in my arms).

The second was a rage-filled monster of a cat, who didn't have much fur, was severely underweight, completely red and raw from flea bite allergy, and just didn't understand that biting is not a good way to get yourself a Forever Home. Unless, of course, Mr and Mrs Jellybean are in town. Cocoa bit both of us, and we looked at each other and agreed that this was the one for us.

Three years on, she is now plump and long-haired (who knew?!) and I probably over feed her because I know where she's been and a little of her history, and because I'm a bit of a sucker for the 'There's no food in my bowl' song! She did a lot of biting and scratching and mauling initially, and Mr J and I both looked like we were seriously self-harming for quite a long time (about a year!), but is now calm-ish and snuggly, though still a sucker for twitching knitting yarn - must defend the humans from the dangerous yarn-weevils!

ETA Thor's little white tummy *squee* and your smallhooman (sorry, I know that isn't the right name) is so right that they're training us, and not the other way round!

I was just updating Mr. P on your wonderful job with Thor, @Imrlgoddess.  I played your "Thorsday" video where tiny Thor meows.

Miss W., who celebrates her 2 week anniversary of being home today, rushed over to the laptop - ears at happy and playful position.  She then went under the table searching for the kitty noise.  Still happy and no aggressive ears or tail.  Playful.

I already know that Little Guy is very cat friendly.  He thinks cats are cool but need to be treated with respect.  Miss W. may be cat workable too - but more testing is required.  I've always loved kitties.  I still never ask for "cat workable" dogs when I go to adopt because they are in very high demand.

I've had greys who ask for the ketchup at the very thought of a cat.

Pondering testing Miss W. with cats more because maybe ... but where would I put the litter box?

Why, in the dog's food dish, of course!

You should apologize.  That is gross. Disgusting. Vile.

I think EVERYONE should have kittehs. Mr. Xtian, who wasn't much of a cat person now watches and chuckles at every Mighty Thor video. I posted another pic of uptight Luke elsewhere...he needs to learn to relax.

I really think it depends where you live as to what attitudes people have towards kids. I always felt really insecure about having my kids in public in Southern Ontario (where mega families were common) because people were unbelievably judgy about how they behaved and my parenting in general.

Then we moved to downtown Montreal, where having more than 1 kid was considered a big family, and everyone is just so kind and supportive and encouraging. No one batted an eye at them. I swear that’s why we moved here.

I feel like they're just regular old Fall family portraits...it's that time of year! All my clients are getting on the books for their Christmas card photos now too. At first I thought maybe an announcement based on the bear with pink ribbon, but I actually think it's more possible that is just to honor the loss they had. I can't imagine they'd give that much away prior to a big announcement. I could be wrong though.

My bet is it's all for show so they're not changing anything.  After all, these people side hugged their own kids.

Catch me up on the Bradrick family? Are they the ones that had a daughter in law wear a yellow wedding dress?

Bradrick! and wife #1 Kelly were the darlings and the couple-of-the-year and marriage of the year  amonst the Vision Forum elite.

Kelly and Bradrick! proceeded to quickly have six children before the perfect marriage imploded and Kelly sued for divorce, based on...nobody knows for sure.  I

n the meantime,  Vision Forum had imploded because Doug Phillips was exposed as a sexual predator;  the Vision Forum gravy train left the station and left Bradrick! high and dry.  The young couple headed to the Pacific Northwest where Bradrick!'s family lives and Bradrick! became a realtor.  There's a classic photo of Kelly pregnant and maybe even barefoot, standing on the deck outside their mobile home on a damp day, surrounded by very young children. She looked so...over it.

Bradrick! stayed in the Pacific Northwest and Kelly and six kids flounced home to daddy Scottie Brown and then she married the current husband.

I think she unenthusiastically said yes to the first man Scotty Brown (not/never father of the year) convinced/ coerced to take her and the 6 step kids.

I never got a positive vibe from that match.  The guy was a (I think) 30-something never married head master of a Xtian school.

Yeah, I'm sure it was a match made by Scotty Brown and never Kelly's choice.  I wonder if Bradrick! will get the call that Kelly is sending one or more of the kids to live with him.  I hope the kids at least get to visit Bradrick! in the summers.
