Have you tried our new mobile experience?

As many of you already know, our previous mobile site was....unpleasant at best.   I personally never used it, but rather suffered through adjusting the full site and doing a lot of scrolling when I wanted to read something on FJ on the rare times I needed to access it from a mobile device.

Today, on the way to my weekly dr. appointment, I decided to give the new mobile site a look.   I have to say I'm really impressed with the new mobile experience.   Not only did I never have to adjust the size of the forum to be able to read it, I was actually able to do several small administrative tasks using an iPhone.

Every aspect of the site resizes beautifully and you really get the same experience on the mobile site now that you have on the full site.

If you haven't given it a try, I highly recommend it.

Doing that right now. I still prefer to quote in Tapa. I have trouble scrolling down on things like long quotes and the emojis. I can see the first few but nothing beyond that.

I haven't tried it on my phone yet but it's very nice on my iPad.  I use Chrome and it's a very similar experience to the full site, albeit missing a few of the shinier features. I'm so used to the new design now that it's hard to imagine the previous one. It is much more streamlined and uncluttered.  Love it.

That's the only thing that's better on Tapatalk - the quoting.  Other than that, the mobile site is waaaaaaaay better than Tapatalk and the previous mobile site.  I highly recommend it.

I never figured out Tapa talk so I just used the old freejinger site on my phone and yikes... But I recently peaked at the new mobile site and it's gorgeous on my iphone 6! Seriously now everytime I lurk my other forums, I find myself longing for freejinger's layout.

Yeah, not bad.  I don't really access the site too much through my i devices though.

From the limited amount I've used the new mobile site, it looks much better than the old one. I never used Tapatalk so I can't compare.

I was on the mobile site today while I was waiting for my DH to grab a few things in the store. It certainly helped pass the time sitting in the car. I am really liking it. The only thing I found to be tediuous was those nesting comments...they seemed to never end, never end, never end..I'm glad those were taken off.

Kudos FJ! :my_heart:

Now that I've figured out how to access new content on the iPhone mobile site (different than the tablet site I've been seeing, which I'm also quite happy with), I'm enjoying it! Very nice!

I use the mobile site regularly on my Galaxy s6 Edge Plus, and I love it! I actually can't think of anything unpleasant about it. I've also used chat on my phone, and it's been smooth and user friendly as well!

Thanks, everyone who worked so hard on everything! FJ is an excellent site all around!

I almost exclusively use mobile devices to access FJ. Probably on my iPad the most, but I do go on my phone sometimes when I find myself waiting.

What I noticed is how to access the blogs can be different. I'm really enjoying reading :my_blush: the blogs once I found where them.

On my iPad, and I'm holding it horizontal there's a blue bar right under the FJ logo  with a button for the blogs and I can access the blogs very easily. But when I have my iPad vertical the blue bar does not exist. No matter how I am holding my iPhone there's no blue bar.  Not sure if this  tablet horizontal/vertical issue is just from my devices

 I'm loving the new site

No worries, I was just commenting on the different layouts on different devices.  I can get to everything through the drop down box on the upper right. .

This is the way it's designed. The bar only shows where there is room. On smaller screens / orientations, you haven't get to blogs via the horizontal lines thingy on the top right.

Or at least get a fucking clue. What a dimwit.

Wonder if Felicity will be sister-momming this new sibling?

She's praying for a brother, so I imagine she'll be doing lots of sister momming, given she's aware of what's going on.

People asked her what dental insurance she uses. She’s showing her privilege again by saying they have none because her family member is a dentist. How nice to have a brother who can give your 10 kids free dental care. Braggie and her brother were allowed to go to college. But Braggie won’t allow her kids. Unless it’s some tiny Bible college near them that they have to pay for themselves. I hate when fundies do this. They will be doctors, dentists, lawyers, and refuse to allow their kids higher education.

She really does not get why “Haley’s plantation life” is offensive. A white girl’s life on a plantation is not something anyone sees as a good thing. It’s like says Joe’s Concentration camp life” if someone lives on land that was once a concentration camp. If she is blocking 10 people a day, she should make a new name. It’s obvious to me she likes the attention it provides her. Nothing is stopping her from getting a new Instagram. She could advertise it on her current Instagram and tell everyone to follow her new account. She could easily call it Haley’s Farm Life. She’s not even living there for the next few months. And I doubt she will live there forever. She will probably live somewhere else in a few years. Will she still want that name? Even if she’s living in Branson?

Looks like Edgar and Rachel Robert’s are expecting their second. That means the Robert’s will be up to 6 grandchildren? I believe there was 12 children in the family, I know not all are married but is there a less quiver full second generation that anyone else can think of ?

I doubt any of them will have anything close to 12. They all seem way too worldly to bog themselves down with a kid every 18 months.
