The birth center visit may have been just a part of an episode or episodes. We don't know if other members of the family went on the trip or what else they might have been doing. I doubt TLC would invest that much time or money for less than a few hours of footage.

Maybe TLC is looking at a spin-off featuring Mama Carmen? Of course that would be more likely if the birth center was located in Alaska, because it seems to be a requirement for new reality shows.
