I can't even see JB getting mad on camera about Josh. He's put on that fake concerned face that he did when he was trying to explain why Jordyn needed her tonsils taken out.

 

Oh he would ya know, minimize the situation like with the molestation only being "light touching over the clothes" "they were asleep so it doesn't count"....ie "it was just a hooker she doesn't count" "the hooker wasn't a virgin or married so it's not like he stole anyone else's heart pieces" 

Jesus hung out with prostitutes.  Josh did the same, only with some inappropriate touching, like when he was a young teenager...

And even worse, he hung out with tax men.  TAX men!!

I'm not sure why you're sort of poking fun at that.  Historically, the men that collected taxes at that time were traitors and typically skimmed money off the top of what they collected, basically crooks, not much better than prostitutes.

TLC would pull out the big guns like they did when someone tried to release a tell all book about Kate Gosselin. They have to protect their brand even if it's for someone who gets specials once a year.

As a non-degreed law professional I have a few questions. 

Say Anna signed a non-disclosure agreement with TLC or with the Duggars or as a marriage contract of some sort. Or say one of the cameramen signed a non-disclosure agreement.

Legally, what would happen if they did publish a book/create a documentary/leak a bunch of crucial and nasty info? Would they just get sued? What good would that do if the info was already out there? I guess what I am asking is is there anything they can really do to stop that from happening other than the threat of a legal suit? And why couldn't the cameramen leak/publish it anonymously? 

They would be sued, it would be costly.  Could they do so anonymously?  Sure, but not if they wanted to be believed or paid. Also I would guess it wouldn't be hard to find out who it was.  

Let's pretend for a second that Anna really wanted to fuck over Josh. If she wrote a tell-all book and they sued, wouldn't she just lose all of Josh's money since she doesn't have any money of her own?

I want to revive a speculation train that was parked some time ago.  We have seen a lot of Jill and Jessa spouting their mouths off at marriage and women's conferences, yet Boob and DQ gave Josh and Anna a gift certificate to a marriage retreat in the last season.  What did they see?  They claim to have been blindsided by the Ashley Madison stuff, but were they? If it were something noticable wouldnt Michelle have taken Anna aside and told her that she's not pulling her marital weight?  Surely it couldnt be Josh's fault, so why send them both somewhere if the issue in the marriage is in the bedroom?

Did they talk with them about issues and they lied?  Did Anna not know at all?  I just cant believe that this was completely unknown. Josh just isnt that smooth.

I totally agree.   There is no way Josh was smooth enough/smart enough/clever enough to pull off these deceptions without Anna being somewhat aware of something "off".  Amiss.  Whatever.

Re: the marriage retreat thing; I'm not sure what the motivation was there.  Ben & Jessa were just at that retreat w/JimBoob & J'Chelle weekend before last (when Jessa missed the Womens' Conference) and I guess that was - what - just tagging along?  Preventive maintenance?  Opportunity for TLC cameras to film something?   So who knows what it means to them.

That said, if Josh wasn't fooling Anna (and I don't think he was) then he wasn't fooling his parents, either.  I think they knew he was into porn, at least, way back to the "sin in the camp" incident.  I don't think Anna would confide in them, or in anyone else, but I still think they knew all was not right with their marriage. 

And this is what I have been thinking about this evening:  WHERE IS JOSH?  I mean, where is he REALLY.  I never, ever thought he would last this long at RU and that's why I don't think he is there.

In addition, how could NO ONE have seen him in all these weeks & weeks?  I mean, maybe he's been exempted from the Friday night services.  But from the work requirement, work out in the community?   Nah.   He's somewhere else, probably very close to home in Arkansas.

Josh isn't that smooth, but Jim Bob and Michelle don't seem particularly perceptive. Do they see what they don't want to see?  These are the same people who were in denial about the seriousness of the molestation.  

Anna must have sensed that he was bored and impatient with her, but she may not have suspected the cause.  And she may have guessed at the porn but not wanted to know.  Part of the "always seem happy" mentality is you learn to look the other way.

The marriage retreat  gift certificate may have been because Michelle and JB noticed some stress or just because they think marriage retreats are a nice vacation-- they just went on one and took along Ben and Jessa.  It is hard to tell with people like that.

I do believe that even if they suspected that Josh enjoyed porn and maybe the occasional strip club, they had no idea about the adultery, much less imagined he'd be using a site like Ashley Madison.

Knowing Jim Boob and Michelle, the marriage retreat certificate was probably not because they suspected something with Josh, but because they suspected Anna was making herself available enough seeing she was pregnant and already has three small children.

Like others have said, these marriage "retreats" are more like a mini-vacation vs. some sort of problem resolution counseling.  I am getting the impression that they are "the thing to do" among fundies, so they can humble-brag on how important their marriage is.

What a pathetic attempt at a "relevant" news story. (If Josh is even really relevant at this point) Either they didn't even do a simple google search to figure out that their IS ACTUALLY a Duggar named Josiah who lives at that address, or they knew it and just assumed most other people don't know it. I'm more interested in the story being about Josiah anyway. If this story is true then that means Josiah has his own bank account. I've always wondered when and if the older Duggars are allowed any financial independence while still living at home. I mean, obviously JD seems quite independent but he's what 26? and male. (And does he REALLY still live there?) Josiah just turned 19 I think. I wonder if Jana and Jinger have their own bank accounts or is it only the boys. Once they turned 18 did TLC need to pay the kids directly for filming them on the show? I don't know how all that works. Would JB actually let the girls keep that money? About the defective eBay drone sale. I have no idea if that story is true but if the seller's PayPal account was registered to "Josiah Duggar" with TTH as the address, that would be hard to fake. Your PayPal name needs to match the name and address associated with your bank account or CC. And you can't have a usable PayPal account without PP verifying that. So it's not like Josh could use "Josiah" as a pseudonym if the name on his bank account doesn't match. I was curious, so I looked up the eBay account suspected to be Josiah's. It was registered in November 2013. Josiah would have been 17 right? Both eBay and PayPal require that you be 18, but that's not hard to get around as long as you have a bank account and just LIE about age (lying obviously wouldn't be an issue for a Duggar.) Whoever that person is, he/she doesn't appear to be a seasoned eBayer. A handful of purchases and only two feedbacks for sales. Both were sales of drones. Interesting that there is no negative feedback. If a buyer had filed a claim, I would expect to see them leave a negative. This might be Josiah's account, I have no idea. Even if it is, that doesn't prove the story about the scam drone sale is true. A buyer can get the seller's PayPal info without filling a refund claim. Who knows if any of this story is true. Any FJ sleuths out there recognize the background in these pictures from the eBay listings? Does it match the TTH?

If it is a Duggar account, they don't leave feedback for others. I checked the transactions. They bought from the Bose store and also from computer parts stores and a micro SD card.

 

I can't believe they would use their last name unless they were trying to make it look like charity (like Kim K and her 10% of her clothes sales going to charity).

 

I hope this account if it is a Duggar is Josiah's or a kids and not Jim Bob's if they are selling stuff and not giving 10% or some amount to Arkansas children's Hospital.

I've just been looking at this picture of the boys room.  No doonas, no curtains/blinds.  Is this how they live? Maybe no bed coverings so that nothing goes on that's not seen?

While I find this absolutely hilarious - I do wonder how Josh would be supposed to succumb to his temptations if he were all alone on that island...

I mean, let´s be honest, it´s a tv show, so nobody would want Josh to actually choose the "destroying Satan´s fortress" option or, at least, not consistently all the time through. (While, in the beginning, quite a few people would probably enjoy to see Joshy suffering for some time, to watch him praying and fasting 24/7 would soon become even more boring than the regular 19KaC ever was - which means something.)

Well, maybe they could invite Danica Dillon to make a special appearance on that island... She may have her reasons for not being very fond of Josh - but at least it would definitely be the safest environment for a meeting with him so far, having all these TLC staff members around and stuff.

Josh is there, sitting on the bed with the white sheet, but there is some speculation that he actually had his own room. Not really sure whether I believe that. There are ten beds, but who knows.

I always thought it looked like John-David was sitting on a stool in that picture and didn't have a bed behind him. If so, then maybe Josh is sitting on JD's bed and Josh really did live in the little attached room.
