From what I have gathered, the in-laws may be less scary to Josh at the moment than JB.  

I agree. If I were Josh, I'd keep myself away from Boob for the next decade or so. And from Jessa too for that matter. I wouldn't be surprised if God laid it on Josh's heart to move far away from Arkansas as soon as he got out of "rehab". Maybe he could relocate to Big Sandy or become a missionary.

Agreed. He's persona non grata, no matter where he goes, and I'm sure he knows it. That doesn't bode well for him or for his family's future.

something tells me Boob could pull some strings with Gil for Josh, especially if he has courtships going between the families. They take care of and cover for one another. It will be a completely secretive job where he has no public interaction whatsoever but a behind-the-scenes job isnt out of the question. The Jeubs used to help write and edit schoolbooks of my memory serves me right.

Check out our very own Free Jinger flight tracking thread - someone just flew to Milwaukee, which is roughly an hour plus from Rockford. And so - Radar Online and other gossip sites pick this up as evidence of a secret trip to see Josh.

They are SO reading Free Jinger and relying on the fabulous detective work here, or at least getting their ideas from here.  Hell, I bet those sites never even KNEW the Duggars owned planes until they read it here first... so where is the credit, huh Gawker?

Yeck, it just dawned on me how close Josh is to me if he actually is in Rockford. I live about 90 miles North of Milwaukee...it was bad enough when Jimbob came to the EAA, which happens to be right across the street from our house. Duggars you are not wanted in Wisconsin!

I wonder if Josh actually doesn't mind rehab. Yes, he has to do a lot of manual labor, and pray a lot, but he doesn't have to earn a living. Decisions are all made for him. Doesn't have to take care of anyone's needs but his own, and his family isn't around giving him the evil eye. (Or whatever the fundie equivalent is.)  Maybe it's a good break for him. He's still a sleaze.

You know, I've long felt that Josh was not (or isn't any longer) at RU in Rockford, for reasons that are not supported by much else than my "gut feeling".  ANYWAY - the Duggar Cirrus DID make a trip to Rockford... into Milwaukee yesterday, out of Rockford today (so an undocumented flight from MKE - Rockford.)   See the Duggar Aviation thread right here on Free Ginger - I think those FJ sleuths are AMAZING to have thought of tracking the Cirrus & tying it to IRL events (I know, anyone could do it but I think it was done here first).

So anyway - if that plane was picking up Josh (no visitors during the week IIRC at RU) then... WOW... just wow, maybe he will resurface soon!   Maybe he HAS been there.  Can't think of another good reason for the Duggar plane to be in Rockford; I mean, yes - IBLP HQ is still near there in the Chicagoland area, but the Duggars are not on the board there, employed there, etc.

A most terrible and unfortunate turn of events for JessBen this would be. And so interesting for those of us watching. It can't be, say it can't be so!

I doubt they would send him anywhere without Anna and the kids to help him stay on the straight and narrow.  Now, if he didn't want to return to Anns or refused to toe the line in some other way they might tell him to go to some foreign country and say that he was on a mission.   

The most likely scenario if Josh at least pretends to play along is for him to return to the family and be publicly forgiven now that he is back with Jesus.  They will get him a job in one of the Duggar enterprises and if he is really good at public repentance he may start doing the rounds of fundie churches and so forth.  He would probably keep out of trouble for six months or so-- after that, who knows?

I agree that he is a sleeze, but a pathetic one.  He may not be enjoying rehab but as you say, it may be a break from responsibility. And at the end, he knows, he will find forgiveness and some acceptance from his family.  So it may not be so bad.

I can't imagine why he would come home now (unless they kicked him out).   Thanksgiving made sense--family reunion and all that.  But first half of November?  Why now?  Did he ask for special leave so he could upstage Jessa?

I just had a thought -- with all the "WTF???" going on re: the naming of that poor baby (and I really do think it is an ill-advised naming decision, setting the child up for lots of teasing & misspellings) Josh probably COULD come back tonight...and people would still be talking about Spurgeon vs. Joshley.  

Nah -- on second thought, Josh returning will be a big deal in this corner of the internet no matter WHAT other crazy Duggar-related news is happening. 

...will be so interesting to discover what is really going on, and what has been going on these past months, although I doubt we'll ever be told the half of it.

I think there's a lot of merit to the speculation that Josh was picked up in Rockford and could be going to the Whatever It Takes seminar in Tampa this weekend on porn/sex addiction.  It will be interesting to see if he shows up there, as checking out that event is likely to interest the papparazzi and we could get photos.  It seems as though RU has treated Josh as a special case, inasmuch as he didn't seem to be making the expected public appearances at chapel or on work assignments.  If special treatment is accurate, then releasing him for the seminar makes sense.
