This may surprise you but it's harder to find octopi willing to wear outfits.  So hopefully these nude images won't stir up any desires which cannot be righteously fulfilled...

Well, this one isn't totally naked. He's wearing a hat...

I'll find a breed of octopus that can follow direction.  Just no giant squid - and if you don't know why...read my blog (spoiler alert:. Killing machines with 3' penises.)

Goats for high terrain?

Definitely goats, but get the right breed.  This lot wouldn't be much good for FJ rescue purposes.

I just want to say I love everything about where this conversation has gone in the last fifteen hours.

And I freaking love foxes. I'm all in. (Though I'd prefer rescue crabs to rescue octopi, but I can compromise.)

We have a penguin disguised as a crab.  I can reach out to these guys who might fit the bill:

(my journalistic integrity requires me to disclose only the first is actually a crab.  The others are clever disguises)

I was actually a little nervous someone would be offended that such a serious topic went so silly...glad that wasn't the case because I'm loving this thread drift.

@HerNameIsBuffy it surprises me how quickly you come up with these images. It's as if you already have them organized in a file someplace. It's impressive.

When people talk about the wonders of technology they rarely mention the benefit to society of being able to google "pets in crab costumes" for instant joy.

And in the course of this I may or may not have a file of anteaters wearing clothes in case it comes up.  When did this become s thing?  Where does one get anteaters and when did they become pets?

@HerNameIsBuffyis a genius at this but she is slipping.  Of the latest lot -  #3, 4 and 6 are most definitely lobsters not crabs.  I'm shocked!

I noticed that too but didn't want to say anything. I'm not picky about my crustaceans.

@Palimpsest and @Grimalkin they look like Sebastian from the Little Mermaid who was a crab.

and they could be costumes of these guys...

red crabs...and they are clearly in smaller versions of this which is an adult crab costume...

Besides, who would dress a dog or cat up as a lobster?  That's just silly!

Very punny!  Groaning and laughing at the same time makes a noise that scared my cat.

Your cat isn't scared - it just ran off to find a lobster costume, poor deprived little thing.

Just saw this post about these two unfit parents. I have a hard time finding any sympathy for these two. In my opinion, they are currently unfit to be parents. They need help to get clean (which unfortunately should have happened BEFORE they had a child, but I know it's a long and difficult road for people.) I hope the child is in the care of responsible adults. I have no tolerance for drug use when there are children in your care.

Any sympathy I had for them evaporated once I read that the parents refused blood tests for the baby at the hospital.
At that point, even though they knew they'd fucked up and the baby was having serious medical issues, they put protecting themselves over getting help for the baby.

It's cold enough when an adult gets dumped off in front of an ER when they're overdosing and their party pals don't want to be seen, but not standing up for your own baby? Come on now.
