Because she’s a lying liar who lies.

Oh, this I know. I've been posting all the lore and stuff on the GirlDefined Reddit.

This one really hit me. She's a fascinating case study of... something.

On living a lie. There’s something so fucked up about this woman. She’s done so much harm to her children and she will never admit it. I feel like she is Jill Rod 20 years down the road.

But it's such a dumb lie. (As well as obvious.) Such a feeble story. Who cares about a dude maybe looking at porn 50 years ago? Like... did he read Penthouse and sometimes go see dirty movies at the seedy back alley theater? Whooo cares? Even if it had been true it would've been more about the 9 millionth time she told the world how hot she used to be and how all the guys were after her.

I guess her extreme use of filters tells us exactly how much she struggles with aging and feeling unattractive. Maybe posting about how hot/thin/tan she used to be is her equivalent of Bethany reposting her wedding pictures whenever one of her sisters has something happening that'll give them attention?

No, but this is hilarious:

She also said “Cooper” admitted to having an addiction to porn. Which is bullshit because no one used lingo like that in the 1970s. Back then you viewed porn at seedy theaters. No one thought of porn as a possible addiction. Those words weren’t used in common speaking terms until decades later.

"I mixed up 1977 with 2024", like how?! I could kind of see 1977 and early 90s, or 2024 and late 2000s but there is such a huge difference between what was around /available in 1977 vs 2024. I'd be wondering about dementia or mental deterioration at that point. (Then again I was reading one of Sue Grafton's earlier novels recently and found myself wondering why the lead character didn't use her mobile phone... in 1986. Yeah I laughed at myself, but if I was talking about something that had allegedly happened and had a major impact on me I doubt I'd be mixing up 37 years worth of detail.)

My favorite part is her saying she called a friend who wasn't there to clarify the details of what actually happened.

Heidi also got called out on another post where Mike had ten questions to ask because she mentioned social media. It didn't gain as much traction though sadly

What questions will the GYM ask himself!

1) Will they be real questions!

2) Will they be multiple ways of asking the same question!

3) Will the questions be repetitious!

4) Will there be limits to the number of exclamation points used!!!

I’m probably not the best at describing this situation because I’m not fully educated on it. But it seems Reddit’s fundie snark uncensored is pissed at how light Zelph went on Bethany and Dav in their interview. And in return, some youtubers like Zelph and the antibot think fundie snark is being too harsh and nasty about Dav and Bethany. And here I am basically partially agreeing with both sides. Because I do think Zelph went to easy on them. And I do think fundie snark uncensored can get very nasty about looks and really superficial stuff that I think doesn’t matter at all. I personally prefer to focus on the harmful beliefs and not their looks.

I’ve followed Zelph even longer than I’ve followed Girl Defined, and I’m quite sure that Zelph is taking a gentle, measured approach on purpose. They have the emotional intelligence to realize that blunt confrontation will alienate people like Bethany. Kind and curious conversation is far more likely to spark critical thinking with folks like these than hammering their religion. This is especially significant now that Dāv is deconstructing.

I definitely get where they were coming from in their approach. And I would go with that approach too. But I think it might’ve been just too easy for my taste. I’m polite but I can be rather blunt and still ask some hard questions. There’s a guy named Tim who I wish had been the one to interview Bethany and Dave. He has a podcast called the new evangelicals. He interviewed Paul and Morgan. Mostly Paul. And I think he did a great job being respectful while also asking hard questions. Paul didn’t have great answers because he’s Paul. But I still think it was important for him to ask. I think Bethany wouldn’t want to talk with him because he’s a progressive Christian who is extremely knowledgeable of the Bible. While Zelph are ex Mormon and don’t know everything about evangelicals.  I think they knew they would go easy on them and that’s why they agreed.

@JermajestyDuggar, when I saw the pic of Zelph sitting opposite Dāv and Bethy on my YouTube feed, I had to jump on it immediately to see whether it was Photoshopped!

Yeah, comparing Tim’s conversations with Paul & Morgan is an excellent example of treating someone with respect while still holding their feet to the fire. I watched both conversations, as well as Zelph’s Reddit posts on the topic, and have no respect for them as interviewers at this point, whereas I feel just the opposite about Tim/The New Evangelicals.

I read it as him saying this in the present, not what he told her in the 1970s. If these are the things he thinks current young men look at it makes sense to mention social media.

I wish we knew more about Dad Defined, by the way:

* Is he just a passive and completely oblivious fool?

* Does he spend as little as possible time at home and just ignore everything?

* Is he an enabler? (Yes. Yes, he has to be.)

* Is he an active abuser himself?

I believe he's as much an abuser as Heidi because he never stepped in to protect his children.

All Heidi has said of him is that he's quiet and her opposite. I don't believe he's a pushover though.
