The Sniders seem....snide. Not the brightest bulbs. I'm sure Elizabeth will come forward to strongly condemn this kind of behavior (sarcasm).

What’s especially upsetting: The Sniders, leaders in the church, have a younger daughter who is Black/bi-racial. And this is how her brother regards non-Caucasian people?

It's gone to an uncanny valley place. Hard to look at.

What was wrong with her original face? I love aging faces. To me, it means wisdom. What does it mean to the Shamblin women?

She definitely looked prettier in the "before." Now she just looks weird.

This just makes me sad as hell. It reminds me of Laura Loomer. I think Laura Loomer is a horrible person but I can’t help but have empathy for anyone who likely has body dysmorphia. They just don’t see what we do. And they are obviously trying to fix something they see as a defect when they look in the mirror. While everyone else says the “fix” is making them look bad. Which in turn just causes them more stress and probably more cosmetic procedures. It’s our culture that I think is to blame for a lot of it. But I put Elizabeth’s issues squarely at Gwen’s stilettoed feet.

Michael Jackson is another extreme example of this, so it isn't just women who chase plastic surgery in an attempt to fix what isn't broken.

The contrast between Elizabeth then and now is startling.

Her current picture looks AI generated, not a real person  -- super shiny stretched forehead, the exaggerated cheek implants, the overfilled lips, very thick eyebrows, what appears to be a new nose shape and a chin implant, possibly an eye lift or reshaping.

I'm hard pressed to see any vestige of Elizabeth at all in the 2024 photo.

I sincerely hope that her daughters don't follow her example.

I mentioned Laura Loomer before. She’s a very right wing conspiracy trump humper. I can’t help but think that there’s a really high standard for beauty in the Alt-right trump sphere. I assume she felt like she had to look perfect because the alt-right focuses on the looks of women so heavily. Here is a picture. It’s a lot of filler, Botox, tanning, and makeup.

I had a touch of body dysphoria—even a bit of gender dysphoria—after a double mastectomy. You guys. It is terrible! During this thread, this may be helpful.

Morals of the story:

1) Believe trans people, and work to support them. Even my slight experience makes me cry still—and it was a baby experience. The hurt goes deep, and they need and deserve appropriate healthcare. Go VOTE!

2) Plastic surgery hurts. And I hate Gwen for making her daughter believe it necessary. There is no judgment against plastic surgery for medical or personal reasons. But I will judge the hell out of people who make it necessary for spiritual reasons.

Just in general, I’m not against elective plastic surgery. If you can afford it, you see a reputable plastic surgeon, and your doctor doesn’t believe you are dealing with body dysmorphia, I say go for it. I’m much more against the standards of beauty our culture perpetuates.

New wedding on the horizon. Girl found Weigh Down as a teen in Canada...got sucked in...moved to Brentwood. Match.com found her a husband (which is odd...you think they'd help her get married off to a church member?) and now she's tying the knot in October. Poor guy...I'm 100% sure he has no idea what he's signed on for.

I always wondered why they hadn’t matched her up earlier. (I always wondered the same about her friend, who finally got married off to a younger Gormsen).

But I have a theory: While much of Remnant includes transplants who have relocated to Brentwood, it doesn’t seem like most “newcomers” are truly embraced into the fold. Oh sure, they’re looooveeee-bombed and welcomed, but Remnant Royalty and its cliques were formed long ago, so no one new can really come in and rise up the ranks. (Unless you have a ton of money, see: The Days.) If you're “new,” you’re just not a priority. The Remnant pedigree families would prefer their children socialize with/date/marry members of other Remnant pedigree families. So a Canadian girl with no other family in the church — even if smart and lovely — just isn’t as much of a catch.

Over the years, families continued to move to Brentwood, but none ever seem to break into the inner circle. You don’t see newcomers (and by that, I mean people who joined within the last 10 years or so) posing in pictures with Remnant elite (unless it’s a work day at the church) or going on those big group vacations, etc. Newer mid-range members just seem to link up with other newer mid-range members.

There’s one young couple from Canada that I thought might break into the Remnant elite — both lost a lot of weight (though one has gained it back); both had a lot of recorded testimonies. He was big into the church hockey team, and she’s gotten recognition for her work in the healthcare sector. But they only rose so far too. In fact, now I suspect they might be separated and/or one might have left the church.

Probably. It's like in the old days when marrying "new money" was seen as desperate and kind of distasteful. Everyone needs something to be proud of (and a lot of people need some group to look down on), even if it's just having been an idiot for longer than other people.

Have there been any photos posted anywhere of Grace's wedding?

I suspect we won't ever seen any because it was such a small** and pitiful event, including the reception, unlike the usual RF Royalty weddings. No pictures of the lavish food, the lavish 3-4 tier cake, the couple's choreographed 1st dance, the bridesmaids with the bride, etc, etc, etc, etc, etc.

If I were Grace I'd be more than upset and annoyed that my wedding was such a hidey-hole, secret,  no big deal, not very celebratory, small and pitiful event. Unlike her girlfriends' weddings, especially her BFF Caroline Stites,

Grace is the ultimate RF Royalty, the anointed princess successor to Gwen. RF always stages lavish weddings, especially for the RF elite.  You can't get much more elite than Gwod's granddaughter.

**Nothing against small weddings. We had a small wedding (spent the money on the honeymoon).

But it was by choice, not because my mother was a recluse and refused to appear in public as Elizabeth does.

Intuition tells me this wedding was not Grace's choice, but what she was told she could have.  I'm actually surprised there was even a small reception. I'll bet cash money Elizabeth was not at the reception, possibly not at the ceremony.

Maybe it was Grace’s choice. Maybe Elizabeth and/or Grace learned from Gwen’s mistakes. Gwen’s second wedding was a public spectacle to such a degree that it almost seemed vulgar. So maybe it’s good if Elizabeth/Grace learned from that and had a wedding that was actually just a nice wedding. But I bet Gwen would have hated that Grace had a small wedding. Gwen would have said that Grace’s wedding isn’t about Grace, it’s about God, publicly showing love for God, and being a light to help attract more people to Remnant and save their souls. So maybe a big vs small wedding is somewhat of a lose-lose choice for everyone involved.
