This is why I can’t follow Lori. Not only does she have a stifling, unrealistic view of women’s roles, but she’s utterly humorless about it. 

Good for Jana getting some nursing training. Even if she didn’t finish, at least it’s a basic skill she can use with her family and if she ever needs to earn a living, it’s something she can pick up.

Following up on some comments on the tail end of the last thread - nothing we’ve seen so far says they saved their first kiss for the altar. I’m betting they kissed pre-engagement and probably went a bit farther. I’m also betting any chaperoning (to the extent it even existed) was very lax.

After reading through the posts, just want to add my theory on why Jana was singel for so long. I will always remember the sibling interviews after Josh was caught cheating on Anna. Her words: " I mean, who do you trust?" I think Josh had a huge effect on all the older girls. I can imagine real trust issues (he seemed so good and christian on the outside, how can he be so wicked inside?) as one of the results. Jana probably needed a guy to stick around long enough to start trusting.

Remember when Alyssa said she had last talked to Jana in that Q & A? She was probably letting Jana know that they couldn’t make it.

They invited all of the Bates except for Isaiah wich i imagine was a mistake and they just forgot about him. We joke sometimes he is a lost boy but it seems like he really is.

Their website confirms the names of all of Josiah and Lauren's kids. And interestingly enough, they invited Katey's mother along with her father and stepmom.

Josh did not receive an invitation.

I followed llucie's kind advice to "... google: theknot j marie s gerald, its the first search thing to come up." The gift registry comes up but how do you find the other stuff, like the invite list?  I don't mean to be a pest, but I am really nosey about this!  TIA! l🤗
